A Financial Services company receives broadcast audio programming ("hoot" circuit) from one of two sources. the sources are satellite receiver 1 and satellite receiver 2 at each remote site. Depending on time zone and some other criteria remote sites may have service 1 or service 2 routed through the local distribution system. The PCD-CVSD "listens" for DTMF command codes from both receivers at the same time. The network controller uses the satellite receiver addressing system to select which sites get the switch commands.
In another configuration the second service is available via terrestrial (telco) feed. The PCD can detect the absence of a pilot tone on the satellite receiver and cause restoration switching.
